I've been fishing a long time and don't enjoy charter trips. Half the challenge is finding fish and working out what gear to use. If a skipper drives you to the fish and tells you what to do, it...

The government can't use risk analysis to get themselves off the hook on this one. Looking at the ACC data posted on the other thread, there are no more fatalities in hunting in than other sports and...

Big fan of subsonic 22LR here. The silent killer! Good to 100 metres with a bit of practice. Alternatively, you can get subsonic rounds for 22WMR. Best of both worlds?

My opinion is that military surplus up until 20 years ago (maybe less) was pretty shit. It was tough, but heavy and uncomfortable and not waterproof. I think we have benefited from the recent oil...

Can't answer your question directly, but had my CZ452 chopped to 15 inches by DPT and very happy with the results. Also, consider an over-barrel suppressor. If you're having the barrel chopped, it's...

As per another thread, I use my cheapo rangefinder as a monocular. It's not great, but is sufficient for my needs right now.

I had a helicopter trip planned in May... but this is not a self-pity thread right? I want to go south (obviously!) and get a deer. Any species, could be a yearling, don't care. It would make my year.

+1 Where I shoot rabbits, I don't always want to get down on the ground, plus the grass is often too long. I can hit pine cones at 100m off the sticks (22LR). Happy with that!
