    I've dived in it, but not fished there. It's deep. Shoreline access is limited and very weedy around the edges. Getting afloat one way or another would be beneficial. A kayak would be ideal....

    Reading with interest. I have a 2.5 hour drive to get to Auckland before I even think about hunting spots. Having thought about it a bit, fly in makes so much sense for me given time limitations.
