hand tools only...we stripped rifle bare,hung it out side and painted the crap on....comeon someone who had done it this century....

old eyes will see wallaby or a goat at 200 yards with 2.5 power...you have a rifle that was made to function with open sights in origonal form..a low mounted low power scope keeps the ergonomics...

I stripped the origonal finish off my zastava with store bought stripper..a bit of scrub with wire brush got checkering sorted.... oiled it numerous times and havent looked back. SS and that dark...

without rangefinder,forget all the fancy knob twiddly bits.....you are still guessing so may as well sight in 3" high at hundy and shoot to estimated 350 or stalk closer..... buy a good loopy 3x9 or...

SVORD pheasant folder is pretty darn versitile....and the fold up bit is genius in its simplicity..... a blade shape with less belly like A but with recurved back like a bowie is my personal...

a couple or three sheets of ply over 6mm thick set up as backstop BEHIND AND OVER whatever you intend to use should satisfy the safety aspect,as does shooting down into lawn with somesort of backstop...
