Agree on the BLR..had one in .243, it was the slickest little rifle for a southpaw! Should never have sold it!!

Load your big hitter down and learn to shoot it faster is the cheaper option and probably the best . . or talk yourself into buying a leveraction and enjoy. i have 3 levers and say get one and teach...

Have a rossi 357 carbine. Great little gun and balances perfectly if carrying with one hand with the rounded bottom of the reciever. I have mounted an OEG sight on it as it should be a good fit for...

Nice pic JohnDuxbury I'm left handed and sometimes use a Marlin 1894CS in .357 Magnum with a 1-4 x 20 scope for close range hunting. I love the rifle, great for quick offhand shooting at...

The point with lever actions, and particularly the Winchester 94'in .30/30, Winchester / Rossi 92 and the Marlin, is not that you can shoot fast with them, although they are faster than a bolt...

This. After bore/collimator sighting this method cost me 3 rounds to zero my rifle, and I'd never done it before, let alone fired a centrefire. That's how easy it is. Even a schmuck like me could do...

The next thing to learn is once you have a couple of shots on the target, and if the shots are a wee ways from your aiming mark, position your crosshair on your aiming mark, and without moving the...

Forget the laser, just a cheap, rubbish gimmick. Learn proper boresighting by taking ths bolt out and sighting down / through the bore, get it centred on your 50 yds bullseye. Hold the rifle steady...

They are bloody useless. I've always eyeball bore sighted and can get on to the target at 100yds with first shot. Although No good names left has nailed the issue with them. If you have one, roll it...

It goes in the muzzle end of rifle and has what kind of looks like half a scope on it when you look through scope you can see a grid that you adjust scope to. Some people seem to have a knack of bore...

I think this is a very valid point. If you want to seriously use a Centre fire lever, get yourself a lever rimfire with the same manual at arms. It makes a big difference in how effective you are...

3030 150 grain flat nose will easily do the business at 200 yards. Tube mags limit bullet style but the flexi tip designs improve ballistics a bit not that it's a real issue out to 250 or so yards....
