2208 works well in a .223" Used it with 80 gr A-Max projectiles in a stock Savage Model 12 with a 28" 1:12 barrel. You should work out the load that suits and is safe in your rifle.

And BTW your 708 is capable out to 500yd with the right projectiles, but that’s probably going to require hand loading. And there’s nothing wrong with owning 2 or more 7mms. :thumbsup:
