I've shot around 40 deer with my 6.5prc now using Norma factory ammo with that projectile. Had a really good run up to about 30 deer, then the last 10 my shooting has been appalling ahaha. They seem...

Micky Duck liked post by Magnus On thread : Powder Scale Options
I run a dillon balance beam and Lee measuring spoons, I was using a Lyman gen6 dispenser but it would always come out of calibration and accuracy frequently and ended up being a right pita so it...

Micky Duck liked post by Marty Henry On thread : Powder Scale Options
A beam scale with magnetic damping can't be beat unless you intend loading hundreds of the same thing then a powder thrower calibrated with the aforesaid beam can't be beat. Both run on gravity, mass...

I'd like to suggest that you fire a single shot, at a clean sheet, at 20 or 30 yards. More than one shot per sheet just muddies the waters. Then post up a photo.

Regulations and rules still apply, but IIRC last I heard the landowner and one other family member can shoot without a game bird license. Different rules apply to different species, e.g Canada...

Micky Duck liked post by Gamehunter On thread : carrying deer
As a 17yr old I carried the hindquarters of a highly worked up and fat stag for 4 hrs and arrived at the hut to discover the meat was "green". Silly green me had not let it air or cool in any way on...

I prefer beam scales, I haven't had much luck with electronic ones. With the Lee scoops, a trickler, and well-damped scales (my Lymans are excellent) I find beam scales just as quick to use.
