Greetings, You got it right. Bolt part way forward so you can still see the base of the cartridge case. You still have to push the bolt handle forward and then down to be ready to fire. Not ideal...

I have one on my 2E for the same reason. Other than making the rifle longer, I can't fault it. It works as well as any other suppressor I have.

These are every bit as good as any screw-on suppressor. You have the advantage that you dont have to disfigure your nice BRNO to fit it , too
