    If I didn't own a 270 I would still own a 308.... Either will do what you ask ,the 270 may do it with slightly less thinking involved...slightly flatter shooting depending on load.

    short answer is ..tighter than they are now...suggest a drop of locktite on the end thats being forced INTO rings.... fair bugs me that rifles leave shops NOT set up right.

    Great video.the funny thing is that for last fourty years I have done it pretty much the same way but gutted animal first..... He shows the fiddly bits very well,took ages to suss them out by trial...
