Re the next tension You are assuming the tension you experienced pulling the bullets is the same tension when the bullet is being released up the barrel I wouldn't assume that because the...

Tested 110 270 for Norma yrs ago on foxes and deer, great for headshots on deer, blew foxes up. Picture below is a muntjac at approx 100yds, I have used them on goats here, but you need to be at...

I loaded 50 rounds of 110gr Barnes TTSX for a dude who uses them up at Tuai in his 270. Still slowly getting thru them as he says they are so brutal on deer never has had to use more than 1 each time.

Mate found 8lb of the old reclaimed H4831 in a cupboard last month, used to pay $4 a lb for it in the good old days from Reloaders.

Have you tried shooting successive groups, after the rifle cools with different torque settings : 30-40-50-60 in lbs etc? 1 MOA is more than enough for deer? are you shooting more than 3 deer at...

I'd have to disagree with that and so would many others. It's an excellent bedding compound for sure which I've used many times. However, it isn't in the same league as Belzona 1111. 0% shrinkage...

I asked one of NZ's top gunsmiths what he had torqed my Tikka he had bedded in a manners for me and said, didn't know and just done on feel. I stopped worrying about torqing after that as shoots...

As above NF/Ballistic Studies kit is very good. I’ve only used it on two rifles, Ruger M77 and Howa Mini. Both have turned out great and in both cases reduced grouping size, particularly the Mini...

55 and 65 inch pounds seems like a lot. I could be wrong but on my plastic Tikka stocks I torque to 35 inch pounds to avoid any unnecessary compression and on my carbon stocks with pillars I go 40...

The 22-250 went the way of many others before it but I did actually use those 55s and still have about 40 odd loaded rounds as had a nice mild round that shot awesome with them so they might come...

Fellas, I didn’t really intend for this to be a “look at this long-range thousand yard deer bullet” kind of thing. I’m not really into shooting deer that far out, but by all means debate it if...
