rather than trying to do everything at once just pick a round you want to use and see how it goes out to the distances you want to shoot at. if they dont perform then start again with another round....

One tip - yanking frantically on the trigger (instead of the guard lever) does not open the action, no matter how many times you do it...thankfully I learnt this playing at home and not while hunting!
