Yes, I think you’re right. I’ve settled on a load that will consistently shoot 1-1.25 MOA, so should just be happy with that and head out hunting….

I’ve got another BSA the same, but in .222. Has the original barrel (that is pitted as) and that one shoots an average of 22mm with factory ammo. They used to have a reputation for being very...

Both my 30yr old bolt actions consistently shoot three-quarter MOA or less three shot groups, which I am quite happy with. That would be about a 0.6 MOA average at a guess. The shorty lever-action...

Greetings Stimpy, One calibre or 0.22 inches in your case. You can go a bit below this but I would not go below 0.20 inches (5mm). Others may differ. Test it and see. Regards Grandpamac.

The general rule of thumb is the bullet should be seated at least it's diameter into the neck, i.e. .22 for 22 cal, .308 for 30 cal. But I have had loads with a lot less length seated that have shot...

I think that's pretty good for a restored classic sporter with modest powered scope. If its averaging outside 1 MOA for 5 shots then probably it could be improved with more work. I would look at...

That was a great result for your perseverance , the little 223 is a great caliber alright, mine is away getting suppressor fitted can't wait to get it back. 400pound of pork is a lot of good eating .

I had trouble with my 223 sometimes it was good then I'd remove the suppressor and put it back on and it would be all over the place there was no baffle strike but gunworks took it out to 243 size...

Sarvo, was the suppressor screwed on tight ? Loose suppressor can cause some very strange results in a rifle that worked fine 5 minutes before... It's not always that easy to see evidence of...

30 mm at 100 mtr is equivalent to/is 1 MOA. More than enough for most shooting.
