I used my current system again last night. I use pillow cases and two/three Tatonka dry bags. All the boned out meat and legs first go into the pillow cases first. I let the meat cool down as much as...

I’ll comment on the 2nd hand vs new aspect. I’ve bought a few second hand scopes over time and can’t say I’ve being disappointed with any of them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks Tikka, your post confirms my thoughts about Sub-X and I know you have a lot of experience with subsonics. Hornady are basically just bullshitting. I've ordered some supersonic hunting rounds,...

Greetings All, My dearly beloved came home from the Library on Monday with copies of all three of Dave Baldwin's books and I am currently reading "Healthy Bastards". It struck me that the elephant...

Had another hunt last week on reds using 190gr Sub-X handloads in my blackout and not impressed at all in performance, solid hits and run off like it was hit with a fmj. Needed to empty a 3 round mag...

It would be great if Greg et al could post up the Douglas score card. It was a wonderful program.

Thanks Flyblown. Re: shoulder shots that was my understanding, but I had hoped those projectiles would be different. Regardless, that second shot was in the middle of the neck. All it did was...

MB Mate, I hate to say it, but you shouldn't be shooting goats behind the shoulder with .30 cal subsonics. You have to shoot for CNS. Head, neck or high shoulder. That puts them down hard. ...

Not easy admitting you failed to take good advice, but here it is... For a long time I was after a subsonic centrefire. Ended up with a Bergara BA13 in 300BLK. Lovely little rifle. Because I don't...

I've shot quite a few goats with the 22Wmr. Best bullet was the fiocchi 40 grain followed by the winchester 40 and 100 yds would be the absolute max. Small goats fall over easily but a big Billy or...
