I've had this happen with adi brass when i tried reloading some belmont black cases. Evidently they were reloaded from salvaged military brass most likely from machine gun practice. Two out of 25...

My oldest would be either the Winchester single shot 1902..? Or Winchester 1906 trombone. Lord knows what the stories these two could tell. I’ve bought them 2nd,3rd 4th hand...who knows. The 1902...

My two are a gevarm and a unique. I've owned the unique since paper registration days and will never part with it. Beautifully made with a silly long 25 inch barrel accurate as any 22 I've owned....

I did like you said and tried that lever action. Henry golden boy. mostly for the novelty, but short range around the house. I figured 100 yards is easy for 17hmr. I got 17hmr because I have one...

I have a Thompson Center Hot Shot .22LR single shot. This is a miniaturised youth version of the Contender. Its a cool little gun that shoots well. The discontinued them in 2013. Not my photo...

My JW 15 is a nice shooter, someone did a nice trigger job on it before it ended up with me. The bolt safety thing never worked well (just copied for the looks it seems from the Brno) but as I...

The 125 Partition is one of the better allrounders for your given parameters, will open on lighter framed animals, but still punch deep/through big heavy animals - but if it's all about...

I think just leave it & use as is, yes rear sight but not base is easy to remove, no pin does NOT drive out, you push whole sight down & back, the spring holds it up into a recess, put them together...

Speer 140 gn hotcore - excellent pill for what you want & hard to beat at $54/100. If you got plenty of cash go 140 partitions

Thanks for your feedback guys. MD yes I used a few boxes of Barnaul 168 gr SP, very dirty burning, and accuracy was just OK but killed well.

I’ve used heaps of the Belmont Black 55gr and 62gr ammo in a battered Sako 85 .223, goats and red deer. I’ll only head or neck shoot the reds with these bullets, unless they’re yearlings. The biggest...

Do a google search for Speer Gold Dot expansion tests. Jonny tested the 6.5 them quite thoroughly. I don’t really see the point of doing an expansion test at 10 yards though... ...

The 55 gr Hornady SP is a great bullet for all the game you mention be them handloaded or factory loaded. In a 16 inch barrel they will be a little under 3000fps ( most likely) but will work well. ...
