Well done, in both places i hunt, Whirinaki & Kaimanawas, it would be impossible to see 252 mtrs..........80 meters is a 'long shot' when i go bush hunting.....

Agreed - I think alot of bods pass a general comment after owning one JW15 example, or hearing of same. That's fair enough but not the general picture. To date we've probably done two dozen for...

Micky Duck liked post by Nugget connaisseur On thread : Advice on semi auto rimfire for goats
100% agreed. On top of that I have had more success of getting the majority of goats by just me shooting and taking a bit of time between shots too. Rather than 2 or 4 people bombing them up. ...

I wouldn't be using a 22LR on goats - semiauto or not. Too much opportunity for wounding. My 22 magnum will be better but is not my preferred choice. Goat is a medium framed animal in NZ terms -...

mawzer308 Just did it on Gordons reloading tool and got 2944fps with 60474 PSI pressure. It also tells me that if you use 58.95 grains it will give you an accuracy node.

mawzer308 Too hot for my tastes, looks like about 3050fps with pressure at 68,000psi, bit will depend on case capacity etc but not much margin for error

Most of my shots are between 350 and 550 yards. I’ve shot a couple at 660 yards but also a few at 10 yards.

The 'fully suppressed' shorty ones actually have a ported barrel under the full length suppressor that drops supersonics to subsonic speed. I think they made them for places where subsonic ammo isn't...
