   Well you need to be able to make decent flat and folded main springs a new firing pins if you are going to own these old rifles. Very few worth while rifles don't need one or both of those parts...

   I imported an early Eprovette (powder tester) from the UK a while ago, it seemed the safest way was to get a permit. Whilst it might not have been strictly mandatory, it seemed the easiest option.

    I agree entirely But the question lacked context by the OP What, how and why do you want to use a Scout scope I use them on repop muzzleloaders to avoid conflict with the hammer and nipple...
