I’ve shot 10 or so deer with them and I was always happy with their performance. Mine were 130 hot core. I used W760 and 2206 and got speed and accuracy. 18” barrel and into 2900’s.

I am biased - But .270 all day every day for everything - ammo is cheap as chips, and it is accurate out to those distances. On the others mentioned - yeah, ok - .308 - I just never been a fan....

Good to see the old .308 strong in this thread. With all the ‘new calibres’ around the .308 still stands tall for knock down power and ammo availability. Im a fan as an all rounder as well. I have...

Hard to find a cal from 22-250 up that won’t do the job at those ranges, I’ve found bullet selection and scope choice of more consequence than calibre choice. Apart from a 7.62x39 that I had for a...

There’s a mint sako 243 for sale at the moment. Flick the scope to another forum member if you don’t need it.

well here is a hare hit by a 357 cal 158gr HP XTP pistol bullet at rifle velocities. Really does not matter where you hit them with something like this. Nothing left to eat either. So very...

Iv'e never seen a bad Speer bullet and at that speed and range you could be using a ball bearing and it would work! My load in a Remington mod 7 17 inch barrel was 42 grains of 2206H.
