    .270 is closer to 7mm than what a 7mm or .284 is .270 is 6.858 millimetres .284 is 7.2136 millimetres Buy a .270 if your a true 7mm fan :)

    stay with the 270 wsm, easier to find components for, kills same as the 7mms, it basically is a 7mm by another name..... will kill everything in NZ out to 600 at the least :)

    Not really an issue in hunting rifles, 7mm Rum is possibly one of the bigger hot rods and mine was still shooting after 1500, that said if you didn't no what your doing it would be toast inside...
