Good points chainsaw I remember when 300yards was a long shot for me. It took a fair amount of fine tuning to become consistent at that range. Then to get out to further ranges took even longer....

Get a 20inch suppressed 7saum or something similar with a vx6 on top, kill anything from 10 to 1000m and call it a day. You'll soon get sick of long barreled, loud ass obnoxious bang sticks sticks...

2.7x1.3.......a big milk powder pallet is nearly that big so could well take care of floor on one hit... consider leaving it high enough to drag boat underneath... or for first season build 3 walls...

I have a Howa 308 chopped to 16" and suppressed. Suppressor fits right up to the forend so overall length is pretty short. It has a cheap 3-9 Niko Stirling scope with an illuminated reticle. I...

Well I had a play with a very nice little sporterised 20" Martini in 303 today and I thought to myself this would be an awesome bush rifle

Keep it simple. A T3, Rem 700 or similar in .308, .7mm08 cut to 16-18 inches with a DPT mod and a 1-6 or 3-9 scope. Keep your .270 for tops work and you have all angles covered.
