I converted a 303 to fire off the half cock position by filing the hold notch out. very simple and halved the lock time. Never gave any problems

I agree with your comments re stags but I wouldn't expect to see them there just yet. Doesn't look very fertile mineral rich ground that would attract velvet stags and doesn't look like good fawning...

The Niggeloh with the forward strap around the barrel. Nothing better. Wont slip off shoulder and the slight stretch cushions and absorbs jumps and bumps so the rifle doesn't bounce.
