Shot this boy last sunday, any ideas on his age? He's not massive for where I hunt but he's the biggest I've seen since the bucks were in velvet. Cheers Jasper195388195389195390 Sent from my...

I recently compared 4 22s in the "round $1000" mark - the Tikka, CZ457, Ruger American Stainless, and a Savage. I initially walked out with the CZ, but when I got home logic kicked in and I went...

The usual cause of such problems is a rough chamber, normally caused by trying to take too large cuts. The reamer must be withdrawn , cleaned and lubed, many times, especially when getting near the...

GWH I dont think that this is the issue here as hes said that it happens with new factory rounds. But ya never know eh. My money is on it being a head space issue as stated above. But sent back to...

Had the exact same problem on a Remington Model 7 that some fuckwit 'gunsmith' put a PTG Rem 700 bolt into and never bothered to check headspace. I'd put £20 on it being long-chambered, the brass...

Sounds weird, definitely go back to the gunsmith. Lifting the bolt usually starts withdrawing the case from the chamber, so it should slide back easily after that, there may be something else binding...

Return to Hardy's should be your first option, give them a chance to sort.

Have used the EC method and gotten consistently great results. As others mentioned it makes a lot of sense, the one thing I’d say is you have to be extremely OCD about charge weight. Like single...

Snowgrass I saw in your original op that you said you would go off and buy some electric scales. Save the cash and just get your self some Hornady Beam scales....

Respectfully, you haven’t followed Cortina’s method, so you shouldnt be surprised that you’re getting different results. Starting again, load from 22.0 to 24.0gr in 0.2gr increments. Only 1 round...

^^ - yeah I think the EC thing is a bit too gear orientated. An alternative approach is to look for a resilient load, this is one that is stable across a fairly wide weight of powder variation . ....

One thing Cortina mentions constantly is how people struggle when the margin for error is beyond the accuracy of their equipment. Iv been watching Cortina and Keith Glasscock for ages, notice they...

grandpamac the Cortina method basically works on the theory you can tune any load by adjusting seating depth. So basically do a charge weight ladder find you most consistent velocity node (lowest...
