Here's an update of how things progressed. I eventually cut the barrel to 21 inches and suppressed my rem mag with a dpt. Talked to a few people and got some reloader 23, 162eldx and loaded them...

Always read an been told 1000lbs in the yardstick. Highest I have ever read was 1200lbs but that was only ever once. Buuuut even if we use 1500lbs at 2700fps a 162eldm will deliver that out to 550yds...

Model 7 saum cut back to 17” and suppressed, so ends up same length. I get 2730+/- with mag fit 168vld and v100 powder. A lot more handy in the bush with enough legs for 5 - 600. I like it. Cheers

    7 saum works well. 7 08 on steroids. 162 eld x or m 2850-2900. I think reloder 23 or 26 are good powders. I’ve used 23 to get to 2850 with 59 grains. Reloder 26 may be better I’ve heard. 59 grains...

It’s your choice, but I would go 6.5x47 if it were me. Like the Creedmoor, it was specifically designed for target shooting, but is a shorter case and has small primer pockets as standard. That...

Its not a crime to leave a firearm unattended in a vehicle, in that you shouldn't receive criminal charges and be at risk of a fine/prison sentence, but it is a breach of the Arms Regulations 1992...

Some of you will remember me from my Sambar deer deer days. But I have moved on and now hide way up in the great white north (Northern Ontario). I know you are all suffering from a heatwave back in...

300m max long range and 200m is easy with my rig using 125gr. 280m with the 168gr CF Lehigh subs. A few months ago a mate and I shot 4 stags with 5 shots one was double tapped 2 inch’s apart, at 180m...

This is my bush rig and has smoked over 100+ deer, a cheap second hand Tikka T3 223rem rebarreled to a 12" 1:7 300BLK. The 300BLK doesn't need a long barrel unless you want to shoot further out then...
