I just picked up a mag conversion kit for my howa .223 for a good price. It is a polymer/plastic thing and am just wondering at its rigidity considering it is what holds the stock to the receiver....

I agree with you there dannyb not practical at all for a hunting rifle to single feed, sooo I made a little mod to my perfectly good rifle and now I can seat the 175s out to 3.45 and mag feed them....

162 is the optimum weight in 7mm mag. You don’t gain enough by going to 180gr. What you gain in BC you lose in velocity and extra recoil. To really get the advantage of 180’s you need more case size....
