I think the Duleys set good examples with not peeling every bull under the sun just mature bulls and nanny's. Obviously they have rubbed you up the wrong way somehow as all my experiences with them...

Easy as, they're just another animal that you need to get shot placement right. Alot of guys use big bangers as to try sack them on the spot as they can bolt into dirty bluffs gorges etc. Can be...

More importantly learn where in the puffball is the shoulder. They are tough in the shoulders and are often shot quite far forward in the mane.

I'm not sure I don't think there are any Thar in Sweden so the Bullet might not know what to do. Try shooting at some Thar pictures first, see what happens. 6.5x55 is heaps, thousands of...

It'll be fine. Keep it under 300m. Break the shoulder bones. I'll add : 130gr Swift Scirocco's are the bees knees in the 6.5x55. I've killed some bulls with them at 2600fps from the muzzle.

Moa Hunter liked post by Kiwi Greg On thread : 6.5 PRC
IIRC I didn't post anything up, recycled a 25" 6.5 Creedmoor barrel in August 2017 put it in Tikka action & got 3250 fps with 143 ELDX, 3300 was too much

You are welcome, don't forget to get a carry case with it ( should cum standard ) very handy for those away trips out of town.

SAUM has more case capacity than PRC by 5-6gr (might even be more). SAUM has a rebated rim/fatter body than PRC but the same length overall. My 6.5 SAUM is running just short of 3k with 147gr...

My NZ hunting rigs are: 223 = 3-10 308 = 3-9 7WSM = 2-12 7RUM = 3-18 Last year I had the chance to do some prairie dog shooting in Sth Dakota, using a variety of rifles/calibers/optics, with...

I had one and agree. Not so much the bottom end power but lack of FOV at 4.5x. Didn't suit my sort of hunting. Couldn't go to a fixed power either. I find I am changing the magnification a lot...

I'm sure scope manufacturers and retailers love higher magnification scopes; more profit for them. Some of the youngsters I've come across who have a huge, heavy, high magnification Hubble type...

The wobble is there whether its a 2 or 42 powder scope, you just can't see it with the 2 power scope :) I have found 14 max power is more than adequate on a hunting rifle out to & beyond 1000...

I'd say "it depends". I have a couple of target scopes that go up to 27x and 32x , but on the occasions when I shoot my hunting rifles on the range I can get pretty good results with 7x The guys...
