Weighted my Lap 308 brass (which I thought was Mil stuff). It holds 56.0 gns water. So maybe its not ex Mil at all. Just as well I worked up to 46.0 gns of 2208 with the 165's I'm running. The...

I went to 7mmRM after 2506. Now 280AI instead of 7mmRM. I guess I evolved :ORLY:

1200ft/lbs of energy is still pretty good at 600 yards but then if you were regularly shooting to 600 yards would you choose a 25-06? Look at the difference in drop between the 25-06 and the CM!!!!!!

My first rifle was a P14 303...all I could afford. As soon as the student loan $ came through I bought one of the first Browning A-Bolts (factory fluted bolt) and after much research in 25-06. It...

Exactly the same as me, can be used for everything. Sticking, boning, slicing, filleting. Start off with a nicely stoned edge and a few strokes on a super fine (smooth) steel and you're back in...

Last 2 I shot moved a total (combined) of 0.0 metres, unless you factor in the height that they fell. On another note, I think I could succumb to the siren call of a 25/06 in a weak moment. The...

Enjoying this thread that much has prompted me to join NZ Hunting and shooting forum! Why has 2506 not achieved fame in NZ?? Because it is inefficient and when / if you get into researching...

From what I've seen from my 416 rem.mag with 350gr barnes at slower speed around the 2000fps mark it seems to work well. If it was something that mushroomed at that speed i can see how they liked it....

For years I used nothing but a black handled boning knife for hunting, from the works. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yeah geometry plays a big part. Nothing worse than a thick wedgy blade. Heaps of the so called "hunting" knives are built from far to thick stock. For general work a plain old boning knife works...

I suppose I should try and put some netting over my fig tree like you did Phil. I'd have to buy more though, and it is a fairly big tree. Currently all my netting is in use on my grapes. I used to...
