As mike says, com wires ok no damage? You can check the armature with a meter, are the magnet ok not broken cracked or loose, you have the arm correct way round in the stator? Are the bearing bushes...

Yep, late Dec, Early jan thru end Feb if the water temp stays up, off Okiwi Bay, Western Side Durville and also off Able tasman. I know a few guys who actively target them

Munsey , cubed battered and dipped in sweet chilli!!! Good to go! On ice or in slurry straight away they go off real quick. Scouser we use them as live bait ;)
