   hey Phil she is Wirehair x GSP/English pointer. mum is registered Wirehair and a very good bird dog and her dad is GSP x English Pointer and trained on Deer.

   Kotoku swears by his Escort, at least when he's not swearing at it (though that is usually due to him dropping it in the lake). Another option other that the Italian B guns is the Fabarms. Very well...

   You can buy cv boots that split in half so you don't have to pull it all apart to fit them.... I don't know how long they last but they are a good temp fix.... To save them in the future get some...

   Cut a 10" section out of a car tyre inner tube and then cut through so you have a long 10" wide bandage. Wrap it around the CV so it overlaps quite a bit and fix firmly to the shaft and outer end...

    The rod is equally important imo, it should be doing all the hard yards while the reel just helps restrict and retreive line in and out. You get the combo right and a small drag reel will keep up...
