I realize this will wind some people right up, but I am coming at this from the perspective of the farmer, rather than the person wanting to go up the public road. All they are trying to do is make a...

This is going to be an unpopular opinion, but here it goes. I reckon the farmer is well within his moral (although perhaps not legal) rights. We have a paper road running straight up the guts of our...

muzza Yes. Sometimes paper roads are what they call "stopped" by councils and they lose their special status. Personally, I don't think that challenging farmers about paper roads is worth the...

After waking at 0510 Friday morning for an early start and then a busy day at work I got home packed the last of my gear, did a couple of jobs to keep the wife happy, loaded the pack and rifle into...

I remember that in the '70's we were issued with Sako, Winchester, Norma, Sellier & Bellot and some stuff in a plain white packet. The white packet stuff was hopeless and didn't last long.

I shot both SAKO and Hirtenberger (correct spelling) extensively during the 60's and 70's until I started reloading, still have a couple of packs of the SAKO ammo and a few packets of fired brass...

Red and black pkts, 50 grn. Imported. Anything imported was the bees knees. That and Sako were the 2 main brands around in te 60's. Maybe Hertenberg was less common. Used to get mine from a shop in...

We used to talk so much shite about .223 ammo. Arguing over what was best. Hertenberg or Sako :) And we thought our lives were sooo complicated. Sigh...

That's a cracker, the 222 is a good performer on deer, punches well above its size. I found the Sako ammo pretty good when we used it in the Forest Service.
