Sometimes a piece of hardwood like oak or an old Hickory handle works well on a burr because of hard ridges in the wood. If the blade is getting a Burr then the steel can't be super hard, more likely...

Yup got the better of me, I have done this mod now and the trigger pull feels much better, mere ounces instead of pounds. It's never gonna be timmeny good but it's a vast improvement.
