If you get a .243 you might shoot your life and never come across any limitations - after years worth of it killing red deer, and others doing the same with a .223, I am still amazed at people who...

She will go from cringeing to shoot the 270 to grinning to shoot the 243. Recoil destroys an enjoyment of hunting quicker than anything else known to mankind.

I've always been infatuated with the 243. Only ever shot two deer with one. Wouldn't mind one, threads like this are not good for my wallet.

I loose shooting my little .243 single shot, it kills everything I point it at, and very easy to shoot. I was worried about using it during the past two roars but it did the damage, can’t complain....

The heaviest pill i have for mine is 90 speers but I feel there’s enough gas in the tank to push a 120. Or at least a 115. It’s about time a manufacturer looked at the two poor three like they have...

Approaching a likely looking spot I slow, inching forward on my stomach and pushing the 243 out front so it could have a look around, I could see, but only just Binos in hand I peered into the...

Second year hunting; shoot anything you can carry. Worry about being a grumpy old man once you’ve shoot 100! Honestly you did the right thing. There’s miles to many deer around, they’re better in...

I hunted it on and off for about 20 years so a few hours in there :), but yes 20m might be being generous. I think it depends a lot on where you go. The regen stuff is pretty nasty, but there are...
