    I was about to post that same statement Ryan. Definite animal welfare issues with some buyers. Wounding with a 22 would probably be more humane in some cases.

    Yes. When I got one cut down to 16" subs were no longer as good. Used to be quieter than an air rifle. Not anymore

    I would investigate rounding them up for sale , then use the cash to buy a bigger calibre rifle to use on the on-going population that will re-invade the property. Nice pics , by the way

    I think you've got the message. I've seen one goat shot with a 22LR and it was ugly. Two magazines later and the animal was more or less dead. Not acceptable, pest or not. I've no doubt the expert...

    Welcome to the forum. Your other option is to get them rounded up and sell them. A few crews around specializing in this know.

    get a 223 learn to shoot it at all ranges up to 300 especially head and neck and then you be good to go on deer [ fire power is fine but accuracy is FINAL ]

    Do the animals a favor and use at the very least a 222/223. Yes thousands of goats have been shot with the humble 22lr but you don't leave yourself much room for error especially as a new shooter and...
