I'm on my 6th Shilen. They've all shot really well. As do Bartlein, Krieger, Brux, TrueFlite etc... can't go wrong with any of them. My current 284 is a 25.5" Shilen. Chucks 180's out at 2850 with...

blip liked post by Pommy On thread : Use LPP as a substitution
"Low power" rifle loads are probably still gonna be higher pressure than hot pistol loads. 308 Winchester is a 60,000 psi cartridge. 45 ACP (which uses LPP's) is 19,000 psi. 44 Magnum (which uses...

My guess... pedestrian. 2217 is even slower burning than CFE, which was already too slow for the 90gr bullets you tried last time... And now you've got a lighter bullet?? As your bullet gets...

You might find your velocity drops a bit by going from an LRM to a LR, with such a large amount of slow powder. One way to find out. Test it. Then you can adjust accordingly.

Yes. So long as you're slow and careful. The firing pin pinches the impact sensitive explosive (aka primer compound) between the cup and the anvil to set it off. A decapping pin will just do the...

rupert liked post by Pommy On thread : Case Neck runout with redding type s bushing die
Give the die a little bit of float using an o-ring. The Lee lock rings are good for this. Give the bushing a little bit of float by not screwing the plug down on top of it hard. Anneal and neck turn...

With high pressure air tanks, there is a different standard in the US vs Europe too. Can't remember which way around it is... Either it's the US testing bottles to a higher pressure (like 50% over...
