Just using hypothetical numbers to illustrate a point, although in my defence it is a big patch with all the Rakaia facing country included.

I disagree it would end up just foreigners shooting the mature animals as its an easy solve by limiting % of foreign hunters and by making them pay more so less foreigners apply. Keep local prices...

Sorry for double post above. The delete button never works and removing all content from the double post doesn't work. But back on topic, Waro can make a justifiable argument that each deer they...

The outcome I would like to see is as follows: A balanced age group population of deer with a good proportion of trophy quality and aged stags in those few areas that can produce them. The current...

Having re read all 12 pages i have come to the conclusion that we as hunters are going to bear the responsibility of game animal management and we must guard against the erosion of our right to hunt...

Nothing is perfect in life, but the point on this matter is that currently WARO shoots out the biggest stags every summer in the trophy producing areas. They shoot stags in preference to hinds. As a...

I definitely don't agree that should be the case. Foreigners should definitely pay and it the cases of ballots etc they should pay significantly more similar to how it works in the states. Ie in...

No ones ever suggested tags for hinds only stags in specific areas. And to the GAC although improvement of its jurisdiction would need to be made first obviously.

Tag fees would go into management and the fee would be set to balance that cost. Is a Duck Licence 'another barrier' or does having a season and bag limits (management) mean that there are always...

I agree. Should be area based though not everywhere ie some of the areas like the Rakaia catchments otago and greenstone fallow etc then other areas can stay open so there is a combination of both...

I have no idea to be fair would be good to know I usually just base it on waiting till post the roar as I often see last year's crop wandering alone that time of year. It would be good to know.
