    We used to stand them in a tray of water (20-odd yrs ago) and run a torch over exposed-necks, seemed to work...made me feel confident about the whole process LOL

    A small-medium galv-chain works well for scouring-out the rust. Any "liner" has to be fastidiously applied (think Don-Brash -anal) to eliminate thin-spots of liner. Overdo any/all the instructions...
