   A pair of kitchen rubber gloves. Weighs nothing but when you are way out in the boonies and not close to water you can gut your animal(sl) and still have hands clean enough to get a drink afterwards...

    Keep hydrated When it is a bit cool outside and you’re climbing a hill put your sweatshirt in your daybag so you don’t sweat too much. When you stop for a rest put it on. Take off again when moving.

    lay out all your gear you think you will need...look at it again...put away what you dont need . a hot cuppa tea in middle of day when you start to get tired does wonders for your fatigue and...
