I managed to bugger up all my limited chances with Reds during the roar but had some awesome stalks but a bit of bad luck at the end - was happy enough to be out in the bush. I shot this wee guy...

Instead of giving short'ish replies I'll just put it into a few films that hopefully will illuminate the subject. Was kinda difficult to shape this to encompass everyone from entry level to expert,...

Roarless20 liked post by Tahr On thread : Me & Bella the dog
We had an eventful evening together yesterday. Shot some deer and enjoyed each others' company. I shot a doe standing on the scrub edge at 100 yards. She looked hard hit by the .223 but bolted...

Roarless20 liked post by chainsaw On thread : 3 shot groups are useless!
I run 3 shot groups & confirm that (good) load by repeating it a couple of times, usually on different day. Very rarely have I seen a 0.5moa load turn into a +1 moa on repeat. It might be 0.7 on...

Roarless20 liked post by BRADS On thread : 3 shot groups are useless!
I think for the average hunting rifle, 3 shot groups are fine, with something massively overbore 5 shot groups get pretty hard on barrel life, also with component shortages these days just seems...

I can fire a 3 shot group of say .5moa in my 7rm{3 shots touching} but if 5 shots the group always opens up a bit with barrel and suppressor heating up. But if i fire 3 shots then let barrel and...

Righto, with the proviso that opinions are like bumholes here goes. Step one, ignore the scope completely. Set up the stock for your arms and body and get the LOP right for what you need to be...

This year's online shooting school will focus on windcalls. I had to take the long way in, layer the info and also show contrast/non-example/poor form in order to adress novice and experienced...

Roarless20 liked post by zeropak On thread : How consistent is clean bore shot?
Interesting. I find that the first shot through a clean bore always seems to have a lower MV. verified through 4 rifles, 2x .223's and 2 x 6.5CM's. sometimes up to 50 fps.

Sika are tough to pick at the best of times. Places I hunt Reds I can virtually guarantee that if I went in for 5 days I would have some good roaring action. Sika on the other hand I would have to...
