a 308 has plenty of ammo choices and is more than capable on the tops or in bush. Go for something you can actually get ammo for at decent prices.

Well after however many years of Forum members banging on about fast twist .243s, Tikka has actually gone and done it. I read elsewhere that they have changed their .243 Win twist from 1:10” to 1:8”....

Ive never been a huge fan of this, i find breaking position from the rifle can increase chances of the group opening up even further, i do all my load testing now with rounds fed from the magazine....
