Biography:
Relatively new to hunting deer (now 56 years young!) after a long active team sports career, especially Softball, Rugby and Rugby League. Being a teacher, we get good time opportunities to get out hunting but I have had limited success to date on annual Stewart Island trips and several forays into the Haast area where my mate has a batch. Recovering from knee surgery at present but keen to enjoy more time in the outdoors in the future, looking for hunting grounds closer to home. Target species is deer, wanting venison for the freezer. Antlers would be a bonus, best is an 8 pointer to date. Cheers.
