lock the wee darling inside at night...keep well fed and that issue should resolve itself..... ours stays indoors all night and is let out around 7am.... buying kitty litter is small price to pay for...

I use large tubs (60 l) on pallet racking shelves about 6m long and 2.1 m high. Also have racks for rods, surf boards and hanging wet suits, waders etc to dry.
