    I've compared a stainless steel baffle vs an aluminium baffle on a 22 inch 308. No noticeable difference in noise and recoil reduction. There was however a very noticeable difference in longevity.

    I would have left it. Easy to say for me having a decent amount of venison in the freezer presently. But for a novice hunter having this as a first opportunity animal I would encourage him to shoot....
