Greetings all, Never got into shotguns. I did own one for a while, a pump with two barrels one with rifle sights. Never fired it, not even once. Finally sold it and bought a range finder. GPM.

Good and bad days on the shotty with ducks in front of me. Pretty consistent with a rifle though.

I love shooting both. The accuracy of a rifle at range and the brute force of a shotgun appeal to me. Add a pistol into the mix and I am as happy as a pig in a paddock full of new born lambs.

You could always just thread your 270 at it's current length and try it for a couple of hunts. If you don't like it you still have options. I bush hunt with a suppressed 20 and a suppressed 22...

Had a big reply which I'd typed up and managed to lose. Still getting the hang of the forum. I see the value of the heirloom quality gear and have had a peek through a few in the shops. Also...

You make a good point. I also bought some vortex's because I can't honestly tell the difference between them and a pair of Swarovski's. I used to be able to tell the difference between the optical...

I brought a cheap pair first at about $150. Better than nothing, but not great. Since brought a pair of Leupold Bx2 in 10x42 and really rate them for what I do, they were about $600. Don’t get me...

Agreed. I bought a pair of Bushnell 10x42 H2Os about 15 years ago and they still live in my glove box. I pull them out occaisonally to scan stuff when I am traveling and they work. They are not...

I managed to pickup a set of Leupolds second hand but in an unopened box so brand new for an excellent price and so far have been fantastic, my hunting exists on an almost non existent budget so...

Greetings All, In my recent fumbling with BM8208 I realised that it was a little over 50 years since I loaded my first cartridge. It was a .303 with a 180 grain Norma projectile, CCI primer and 34...

I have imported rifles into NZ, for personal use, non commercial intentions. I used Reloading International in Oregon to ship and they had them sent on Air New Zealand out of Houston. Reloading...
