   +1 for the no muzzle brake on a do everything rifle, surprising how loud they are when taking a quick shot with no time to get the plugs in - never again. Suppressor or nothing

   I think the point he was making that ballistics/recoil, the medium 6.5 calibers have the 308 beat. All will kill medium game just fine at sensible ranges but the 6.5s will do so with less drift, drop...

   I can see where 7mmwsm is coming from. The permit fulfils a legal purpose only. It does nothing to ascertain your proficiency in the bush or with a firearm/weapon. It does nothing to improve safety...

   Yep, they cull the shit out of lots of blocks with Thermal gear, Lands & Surveys farms even around/boarding Doc Blocks, near wiped out Sambar in a few areas, where it was very hard to impossible in...

   they also stop you flying into areas with high animal numbers...and they cull aerially animals in easy to reach areas...logic and DOC dont belong in the same sentence .

   I do not use nor necessarily advocate the use of thermals but I do find it amusing that DOC ban them on public land during the hours of daylight. Nighttime I understand as it’s a safety thing....

    Very effective, I would say more than 50% of deer in the UK are shot after being spotted via thermal in daylight hours. Not long before the Scottish Government approves night shooting with thermal...
