   Absolute bullshit. Nothing’s changed from level 4, those with private land likely were still hunting through level 4. 90% of us still can’t hunt then.

   Did see them in the 1960's when hunted the Hautapu area regular, can't remember if I shot any. Rumour was that in earlier times when there were wild dog packs in the Lockinver- Poranui Station area...

   There were always rumour of sika around Hautapu hut area back in the 1960s and occaisionally since. Personslly I nevet saw or shot one there. I did watch a rusa stag neat Mt Tauhara around 1980, but...
