maybe auckland snapper like it better :o we even use catfish as bait and burley. mince the carp and catfish frames up. fillet them and voila. we find it stays on the hook well.

I'd say the only real use case would be small landholders with goats who don't qualify for a P gun. Although 22 mag is not enough for goats IMO.
