    Don't overthink it. A T3 308 win at 16" (with suppressor) and factory ammo will do exactly what you ask of it. As will many other rifle/cartridge combinations. Get it and get out hunting.

    Often it can be condensation forming on the inside of the boot (hot feet) when the outside of the boot cools (cold stream). Not water getting in as such.
