   Sorry to derail my own thread, but on the scope front, there is the VX5 2-10x42 which would make a good all rounder if you have a spare $2K. Any other contenders?

    If you will be shooting in the Christchurch/Canterbury area then 22LR, 12 guage and 223. 223 ideal round for long range bunnies, fallow, wallabies etc in this region, and 223 ammo is much cheaper...
