shooternz liked post by Moutere On thread : Angle Compensation
Gravity is a constant regardless of angle, it is just acting over a shorter horizontal distance than the LOS distance in an angled shot.

I cast for 303,308,7.62x39,9mm,357,44mag,45acp,and a few others. Temp is important as is alloy. I suggest you look at the cast boolit website. You will need a spare year or two to read it all. Never...

shooternz liked post by gundoc On thread : Rebarrelling a short action Remington
Don't bother with wildcats, they are more trouble than they are worth. Get a good quality 22" barrel fitted in either 7mm-08 or .308 (shouldn't exceed $800). Either will do the job perfectly well...

You're not shooting Elk or massive boars. A 150gr Sierra Pro Hunter or Hornady 150gr Interlock (flat base), they're dependable and won't let you down.

I would stay away from sst for close ranges. 130 ttsx will penetrate the full length of a wap, they do need to be loaded up to transfer shock tho, 3150-3200fps is achievable from 22inch. 2800-2900...
