I do that. I run a gun works overbarrel model. Both my .223 and .308 are T3s so fit was all good. Not sure I'd run it on my AR. Mine has a dedicated suppressor

I like my 25" Harris bipod for long steady shots on wallabies. Just sit my arse on the ground (piece of closed cell foam for dryness) and done!!!!!

Bungees are a must - agreed. Cable ties simply help tie off the chain ends and minimise risk of a thrown/lost chain

Carry a few heavy duty cabje ties. Use them to tie off any loose chain end so it's not flopping around. Drive a 100m then recheck and possibly retighten the chains after fitting them
