    Thanks for the heads up, I had somehow missed that CarbideNZ had them. I just ordered a M5x0.5 I also got a couple of R8 collets for my mill which are mighty hard to find for a decent price.

    To matt off the satin finish, try rubbing it down with steel wool, or if thats still too shiny, scotchbrite. Rub only in one direction (along the length of the stock) and it should look nice and even.
