Yeah that's exactly it, however I seem to have an issue with blowing holes in the scope tube when welding on the picatinny rail. Bit of duck tape over the holes should keep the water out tho.

Don't discount the "tramping" brands. There is a lot of good gear out there and you can also choose a colour other than green. Only disadvantage is that they are usually made of noisy materials but...
