STC liked post by Husky1600#2 On thread : Sako 75 hunter ‘recoil pad replacement’ help
Easiest way to remove glued on butt pads is to carefully cut them off with a table saw or band saw, cutting through the black stuff after removing any screws. Then finish the end of the butt off on a...

STC liked post by Makros On thread : Realistic range of 16" 708?
I would have thought the realistic range of a 16" 7mm-08 has very little to do with the actual cartridge and barrel length and instead is entirely dependent on the shooter. How much practice and...

STC liked post by mattstr On thread : .308 round choises 150 grain vs 180 grain on red stags
If your guns sighted in with the 150grain power point leave it at that you. Go find yourself a stag mate. If it doesn’t go down it was probably a shit shot and 180gr wouldn’t have made a difference...

I've used both and the win 150 power point is awesome as a bush hunting load. Buy three packets, sight your rifle to be bang in st 50 meters and go hunting and shoot stuff in the bush until you run...

STC liked post by longshot On thread : .308 round choises 150 grain vs 180 grain on red stags
Any difference at that distance is academic. The .308 has enough legs within 200m (and further out but lets say 200m so no one can argue) that basically any standard deer hunting factory round...

I presumed that Hornady aren't promoting them as a hunting bullet so they can be legally used as “match” ammunition in military contexts.
